How to post your Status Updates to Facebook and Twitter

Just like Facebook and Twittter allow their users to microblog about their personal status, you can make personal Status Updates on SalsaClub.com as well. And if you happen to use Facebook or Twitter too, you can also directly post your SalsaClub Status Updates to your pages on Facebook and Twitter.

How to make a Status Update?

Updating your personal status is very easy. Just go to your personal SalsaClub-page and enter your message into the text field of the “Status Update Box” featuring at the top of your My Page.

 

 

 

 

After replacing the default text “What’s happening!” for whatever text you like to post in order to update your personal status, just click the “Update” button to have your “Status Update” published in the “Latest Activity Feed”.

Before clicking the “Update” button, please make sure your message is “Main Page Material” and decide whether of not you like to post your Status Update to Facebook or Twitter as well.


How to post my Status Updates to Twitter

If you want to post your status update on Twitter as well, check the box next to the Twitter icon.

Your message can contain up to 140 characters. Click the "Update" button to directly post your status update on Twitter. The first time you connect to Twitter via SalsaClub.com, you'll be asked to authenticate with Twitter. You can also change your linked Twitter account settings by clicking on Settings and clicking 'My Page'. Read more.

How to post my Status Updates to Facebook

To post a status update from your profile page to Facebook, check the box next to the Facebook icon below the Status Update bar. Click "Update" to post your status.

The first time that you are posting a Status Update to your Facebook account, you will be asked to connect to your Facebook account. Although your Facebook account information is required to connect to Facebook, it will not appear anywhere on the Ning Network. Click here for more info about connecting to Facebook.

 

Where are my Status Updates published?

Please realize that your “Status Updates” are not only published in the “Latest Activity Feed” on your 'My Page', but also appear in the “Latest Activity Feed” on the Main Page of SalsaClub.com. So you should only make posts about things you really like to share with the general public. To change the privacy settings for Latest Activity, read on here.
