At the Dias Cubanos we give you the opportunity to dance with our stars during the opening party of the festival not only socially but a step further while keeping it fun! So no preparation, no choreography, no stress but just smiles and a great time for the dancers and the public. Reserve your star by sending us an email at info@diascubanos.com. Be quick because only few teachers are still available :O)

Going to Panama and Spain last year, some locals taught me some salsa moves and let me experience salsa dancing. Immediatly i fell in love and wanted to learn more. And i'm so glad i did!! Life isn’t always easy but the music, the dancing just puts a big smile on my face everytime and lets me forget all my worries.

People have told me that there is nothing more magical, passioned, relaxing and fun than tasting and experiencing the salsa scene in Cuba. Sounds like a vacation to Cuba is just what i need, but unfortunately thats not an option right now. Thats why i am hoping to win a ticket so i can enjoy and expercience a relaxing and fun weekend of Cuba in NL.

My love is music and music is my love.

Cuba… the country that took my breath away.

Since years I’ve been traveling around and I’ve seen some beautiful countries, with beautiful people. But I never felt the need to go back to a place twice. Why should I, if there is so much more to see and so little time? Never… until I went to Cuba.

The island full of rhythm, passion and warmth. The place where I learned to share my intense love for dancing with others who loved it possibly even more. The country where I took my baby Salsa steps and got addicted. It’s indescribable how that music just takes you away and brings joy to your heart.

My first time was in October last year, my second time in February this year and… there will be a third time! It’s like falling in love, it’s like a magnet…

I so wish I could get that same feeling back home, in the cold little country where the ‘klompendans’ and ‘jumping’ was invented (still wondering why…). And I found out it appears to be possible… That one weekend in may… Diaz Cubanos!

Next to my heart, I also lost my camera in Cuba. Twice. The first time it got stolen, the second time I lost it in the water and never found it back. So, no picture-memories, only memories in my head. And no movies that I made especially to show the passion of Cuban Salsa and have a chance to win a Full-pass for those amazing Cuban days!

But, hopefully my lucky angel will appear and give me the possibility to experience salsa passion in Holland AND make pictures to remember. I was lucky to win a Party-pass, but I already got a Full-pass, so I made someone else happy. Maybe I will be lucky to win back a Full-pass, be able to buy a camera and experience the breath-taking beauty of Salsa again, so that would make me happy.

Happy you liked it Edu! Did you all see el maestro  Julio Davalos hitting his bata to Chago (the god of fire, lightning and thunder in the Yoruba religion) http://diascubanos.com/EN/profiles/julio_davalos.html? The excting part is that we will be able to dance to his bata live at the Dias Cubanos! I will not miss these workshops :O)
